There’s another settlement offering freebies, this time it’s Subway. The sandwich chain is distributing 142,500 $2 gift cards through its website, thanks to a settlement agreement with the State of California.
Subway explains that the settlement agreement was due to claims made that advertised specials were not honored in certain locations. Since the case took place in California, the offer is only available to California residents.
I guess Subway’s loss is our gain. But in a time like this, it makes me wonder if Subway will actually profit from it. $2 off is enough to get any non-regular in for a foot-long.
