If you need to find a job, now’s the time to break out your resume and start making copies. And it’s not just because you need work. FedEx Office has announced “Free Resume Printing Day” on March 10, 2009, offering up to 25 copies of each customer’s resume at no cost.
The company’s plan was described as “an effort to help job seekers across the nation” in response to the nation’s rising unemployment rate, up to 7.6 percent in January 2009. “We understand that the economy has affected many people in a very profound way, and we want to help,” said Brian Philips, president and CEO of FedEx Office.
Not only are the copies free, they'll also be printed on resume-quality paper. Resumes must be single-sided and limited to one page (how a resume should be anyway!) The offer extends only to customers who place and pick up orders in-store, so don’t even bother ordering online.
Now, get on your computer, polish up your resume, and don’t forget to spell check!
